The path to the family land

01 / Origin

Rooted in
Yaguaraparo.

In eastern Venezuela, between tropical greenery and the Caribbean coast, lies a historic Velásquez family cacao heritage with several documented estates.

The connection between the land, our local partners and the Netherlands makes every lot’s starting point visible. Not an anonymous commodity flow, but cacao with a place and people behind it.

Together with the family and local partners, we work towards consistent fermentation, drying and selection—with close attention to what makers need.

Cacao from a clearly defined region, with a recognisable story behind every lot.

02

Family connection

03

Traceable steps

Origin, processing and lot details are recorded step by step.

04 / From tree to bean

Quality begins before the journey.

  1. 01

    Harvesting

Ripe cacao pods are selected on the family’s cacao lands.

  2. 02

    Fermentation

The beans develop their aroma through a controlled process.

  3. 03

    Drying

Slow, careful drying helps protect quality and stability.

  4. 04

    Selection

Each lot is inspected, sampled and prepared for export.

05 / The landscape

The place,
as it is.

No stock imagery. This is the landscape where our collaboration begins—beneath shade trees, among cacao and tropical vegetation in Yaguaraparo.
